Mass Celebrated at Home
At St. Michael’s we strive to restore the Catholic Church's personal pastoral approach before it became one of the largest institutions in the world. Originally Mass was celebrated in secret in the homes of the faithful. In keeping with our humble beginings, once a month St. Michael's offers Mass celebrated in the home.

What You'll Find in the Charismatic Rite
What is a Rite?
Within the Catholic Church there are several subdivisions called Rites. Rites are groupings of local churches (diocese) who share a common discipline, theological heritage, set of liturgies, rituals, often a common culture and language.
There are many Catholic Rites throughout the world which are united under the Pope. The Roman Rite (the largest), the Melchite Rite, the Ukrainian Rite, the Maronite Rite and Syriac Rite to name a few. There are also Catholic Rites which are not in communion with Rome but which the Vatican considers to be Valid. The Old Catholic Church, The Old Roman Catholic Church, the Polish National Church among others.
Who we are
The Charismatic Catholic Church of USA & Canada was started under the jurisdiction of the Bishops of The Old Catholic Church and thus has valid apostolic succession and valid sacraments. The Charismatic Church is a Rite that is for-the-Pope and has offered our submission to the Pope since 1968. We prayerfully await our reintegration.
Our Rite is continuously being guided by the fire of the Holy Spirit. With Him as our Guide
St. Michael’s Charismatic Catholic Church is ecumenical in spirit and invites all to a life in Christ in an intimate, attentive, non-legalistic pastoral parish.
Valid Holy Orders
Just as in the Roman Rite, the Charismatic Rite can trace its Apostolic lineage directly back to St. Peter, St. Paul, and all the Apostles. We have the same unbroken line of succession that makes Catholicism so grand.
With Valid Holy Orders, recognized by the Vatican, the Holy Spirit Himself is present and active in all of the Sacarments celebrated.
Married Clergy
In the Charismatic Rite we believe though celibacy is a gift of the Holy Spirit it is not the primary requirement for an authentic vocation. We believe the Holy Spirit calls some Shepherds to celibacy and others to Holy Matrimony. Each one with a true vocation.
Thus, the most unique feature within the Charismatic Rite is married clergy. We find that the combination of married Shepherds and celibate Shepherds brings versatility to the Church.
Catholic Liturgry
At St. Michael’s we follow the universal Catholic liturgical year. Like all Catholics we begin our liturgical year waiting with bated breath for the arrival of our infant king in the season of Advent.
The Celebration of the Mass at St. Michael's will be identical to the Mass celebrated in the Roman Rite. We only have minor unique customs that you wont find in the RCC.
All Are Welcomed at the Lord's Table
In the Charismatic Rite we believe in the unrelenting mercy of God. With that pastoral approach we find withholding The Eucharist from those who do not meet certain man made laws unconscionable.
All baptized Christians are welcome at the Lord's table. Divorced and or remarried Catholics are not shunned from the presence of Jesus Christ found in the Blessed Sacrament.
