Prayer Meditation

Let nothing disturb you

Nothing frighten you

All things are passing

God never changes

Patience obtains all things

Nothing is wanting to him who possess God

God alone suffices.

- St. Teresa of Avila

Pastor's Reflections

Sacred Scripture teaches us that sometimes prayers make take awhile before they are answered. As in the case with the Virgins who were waiting on the Lord. They brought with them extra oil while they waited for the Lord's return. Why? First, they realized the Lord would be delayed.  Second the knew the Lord would keep his promise. And that's the good news. Let us not focus our attention on the fact that he will be delayed, but rather that the Lord will keep his promise to us. As the old Christian saying goes, The Lord may not be there when we want him, but he is always on time.
